My Philosophy - Learn creatively! The technical stuff comes as you practice.

Do you love photography and have tried to learn how to take professional level images but can't seem to master the look you want?  You read all about f stops, shutter speeds and ISO's, and get caught up in the technical details that you forget that the most important element in photography is capturing the light to enhance your subject. If you don't see light (it's direction, color, intensity and quality)  and understand how to use it in your photos you will never get the results you are hoping for, I promise. That's where I come in!

This class is for the modern photographer who wants to be creatively inspired. All levels can appreciate learning beside Kathleen as she walks her students through how to get unique shots with a live model. The question aspiring photographers often ask themselves is "How did they do that?" Her students will be able to answer that question by the end of her class.

If you are only interested in learning your owners manual then this class may not be a good fit for you right now. Kathleen will teach you how to see sun light as a means to light your subject. She won't bore you with a lot of technical jargon you can easily learn in a book. Her goal is to make you a better photographer by exploring creative techniques used by all professional photographers. She will help guide her students as they use manual mode to capture gorgeous portraits.
